One of my favorite jQuery plugins of all time is the UI Tabs. Not only are they easy to implement, but they are flexible enough to morph into more than just a simple tabbed interface. By changing the CSS you can layout the tabs and their content in a variety of ways.

Here are some of my favorite uses for jQuery UI Tabs other than tabs:

• Thumbnail Photo Gallery
• AJAX Navigation

Other possibilities include:

• FAQ
• Timeline
• Expand/Collapse Toggle Button

Another added bonus is these all work nicely across the major browsers with barely (if any) hacks for IE6.
